The Roots of Los Angeles

Echo Park Lake has been a destination since 1892. Once known as Reservoir #4, Echo Park Lake was transformed into one of first major park in Los Angeles.  "In the course of a few years," a hopeful Los Angeles Herald wrote of the former reservoir in 1896, "Echo Park will be one of the most beautiful spots in Los Angeles."
